Conformity Assessment
Conformity assessment of radio equipment refers to the procedure of establishing if all essential requirements specified in article 5. of Ordinance on radio equipment concerning a certain product have been met.
Procedures
The Ordinance on Radio equipment (OG 49/16) defines the following procedures of conformity assessment available to the manufacturer to demonstrate that products placed on the market conform to the requirements expressed in the Ordinance on radio equipment:
- Internal production control (Appendix 1)
- Assessment of technical documentation by a Notified Body (EU-Type Examination and conformity to type based on internal production control) (Appendix 2)
- Full Quality Assurance (Appendix 3)
Which procedure will be used depends on whether, in assessing the compliance of radio equipment with essential requirements, the manufacturer has or has not used harmonised standards and the choice of the manufacturer. The conformity assessment shall take into account all intended operating conditions and, for the essential requirement for the protection of the health and the safety of persons and of domestic animals and the protection of property, the assessment shall also take into account the reasonably foreseeable conditions.
