The number of 72 project holders has achieved the requirements for the Public Call for NGA network construction in the areas without sufficient commercial interest. A total of 443 cities and municipalities have been included in the authorized projects. An invitation to tenders is valid until this Monday, July 15th.
ZAGREB, July 15, 2019 - As a holder of the National Framework Programme for the Development of Broadband Infrastructure, with no sufficient commercial investment interest (ONP), in the process of reviewing and evaluating the Broadband Infrastructure Development Plans (PRŠI) HAKOM has issued a total of 72 PRSPs, attesting to be compliant with the ONP's structural rules. Local and regional self-government units, as holders of individual PRCs, are eligible to apply for a "Public Call for Expression of Interest for Participation in the Pre-Selection Process" announced by the Ministry of Regional Development and the EU Funds, with the final deadline for submission of letters of interest by July 15, 2019.
By submitting a statement of interest based on the Public Invitation, the project holder expresses interest for PRŠI, to be included in further steps within the scope of Public Invitation for application delivery in the Pre-Selection Procedure (Public Invitation - submission of applications) related to the selection of acceptable applicants as well as meeting the criteria for applying for a Restricted Call for Proposals for Granting in Temporary Calling Module "Building Next Generation Networks (NGA) / Next Generation Access Networks (NGA) in NGA White Areas" (Restricted Call).
By means of project completion regarding city access networks the areas without operator’s commercial interest, the residents or from remote, populated and poor areas of the Republic of Croatia will be provided with conditions as equal as in urban and developed areas.
Realization of projects for the construction of access networks in areas without commercial interest of operators will enable inhabitants and businesses from the remote, less populated and less developed areas of the Republic of Croatia the conditions available in urban and developed areas.
Altogether 443 cities and municipalities have been included in the approved projects and the project holders are the following local and regional self-government units: Poreč, Orahovica, Jastrebarsko, Beli Manastir, Rovinj, Kaštela, Zaprešić, Koprivnica- Gradac, City of Dubrovnik, Opuzen City, City of Korcula, City of Labin, City of Mursko Središće, City of Gradac, City of Valpovo, City of Velika Gorica, Municipality of Medulin, Municipality of Postira, City of Đurđevac, City of Ivanić Grad, City of Virovitica Križevci, City of Delnice, City of Rab, City of Novi Vinodolski, City of Kastav, City of Opatija, City of Vukovar, City of Pregrada, City of Rijeka, City of Sveta Nedjelja, City of Karlovac, Municipality of Zmijavci, City of Trilj, City of Donja Stubica, City of Novi Marof, City of Ludbreg, City of Solin, Municipality of Bedekovčina, City of Sisak, City of Gospić, County of Lika-Senj, County of Brod-Posavina, City Slavonski Brod, City of Vinkovci, City of Županja, City of Čazma, City Novska, Kutina City, Krk City, Virovitica-Podravina County, Glina City, Slatina Municipality, Sukošan Municipality, Omiš Town, Karlovac County, Municipality of Đurmanec, County of Šibenik-Knin, County of Osijek-Baranja, Bjelovar-Bilogora County and Municipality of Donja Voća.
