HAKOM invites all interested parties to join the public hearing on 1st and 2nd set of common European proposals for the ITU World Radiocommunication Conference by June the 18th.
ZAGREB, June 5, 2019 - The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will organize a World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) with the aim of modifying the Radio Regulations (RR) and making decisions for any radiocommunication topics of world interest. The World Radiocommunication Conference will be held in October and November 2019 and will be attended by the representatives from 193 ITU Member States.
The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) has published a public hearing on 1st and 2nd Set of Common European Proposals (ECPs) for 48 CEPT Member Countries. After the preparation and adoption of the ECP, the Member States will agree to support common European proposals and accordingly will play the WRC as a country and within regional organizations. Likewise, the EU Council and the European Parliament adopt a Decision on common positions for the WRC based on the opinion of the Working Group on the Radio Spectrum Management Strategy.
Within its legal competencies, HAKOM prepares the position of the Republic of Croatia for participation in the WRC, by participating in the work of the working groups and it is an integral part of the Croatian delegation at the Conference. Since the WRC results can have a significant impact on spectrum management and usage and the development of wireless technologies and services, the purpose of this discussion is to gather views of interested parties around the Croatian and Common European Proposals compliant to the items of Conference agenda.
The public hearing is open until June, 18, 2019 and it will be available at the following
