A workshop on “Call for Proposals to Build Next Generation Access Networks in NGA White Areas was held in Rijeka.
ZAGREB, February 13, 2019-Following the invitation of the organizer, Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds (MRRFEU), Rijeka hosted the workshop on Call for the Proposals "Deployment of the Next Generation Networks (NGN) in NGA White Areas". The aim of the workshop was to gather participants(applicants and partners), with the selection criteria, the procedures for submitting the project proposals and their evaluation, and eventually, to close the selection process for the construction of access networks in the white NGA areas. The information workshop was primarily aimed at potential applicants from three counties (Primorsko - Goranska, Lika - Senj and Istria). The additional workshops will be held in Split and Zagreb in February.

HAKOM's experts, as the holder of the Framework National Programme, held a lecture on "Developing Next Generation Access Networks through projects co-financed by European Structural and Investment Funds", and the future applicants were informed about all relevant information on the preparation of Broadband Infrastructure Development Plans, a precondition for a applying to the Call. Lectures were also held by the MRRFEU representatives as well as the Central Finance and Contracting Agency for European Union Programmes and Projects (SAFU).
