HAKOM at the Professional Conference on the Child Internet Safety

On Monday, a conference on „The Playground of new Age" was held in Zagreb within the scope of public media campaigns entitled "Security worth click".
ZAGREB, October 29, 2018 – Following the invitation of the organizer, the Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, the city of Zagreb hosted the professional conference on “Child Internet Safety". The conference was organized within the framework of the Public Security Campaign "Security Click", funded by the Government of the Republic of Croatia in cooperation with Croatian Public Relations Associations and the Public Relations and Social Media Agency Media hint Ltd., aimed at increasing the awareness of children and adults by means of educational and promotional activities regarding the importance of the Internet security and the impact of digital technologies on the development of children and young people. The aim of the conference is that professionals working with the preschool children and lower primary school children should improve their knowledge and skills in the field of child safety and protection on the Internet and affect digital technologies in order to respond in a timely manner in potentially endangered situations, the risky usage of the Internet and the impact of digital technologies on children.
The conference was opened by Miran Gosta, Executive Director of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), who announced new projects to be implemented by HAKOM in cooperation with the Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.
