On 26 and 27 September, the Haag hosted the meeting of Access Working Group operating within the scope of IRG – Rail - Independent Regulator’s Group – as well as to the second IRG-Rail Rail Freight Forum
ZAGREB, September 27, 2018.- On 26 and 27 September, the Haag hosted a meeting of the Access Working Group operating within the scope of IRG – Rail - Independent Regulator’s Group – as well as the second IRG-Rail Rail Freight Forum. HAKOM’s representatives took part in the meeting.
Following topics were subject to the Access Working Group Meeting; temporary restrictions of infrastructure capacity, amendments to the timetable draft procedure, monitoring and reporting on the key performance indicators for the railway freight corridors. A questionnaire on the vehicle fleet was analysed and preparatory works for the presentations by the regulatory bodies at the IRG - Rail Forum were carried out.
The key performance indicators on the quality of railway freight corridors related to functioning of the corridor tracks were presented and many topics were the subject of dispute such as railway traffic management process followed by Management Manual presentation. The following topics were: redesigning the timetable process and associated pilot projects, technical barriers to the access and cooperation with the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA). Apart from the regulatory bodies, the meeting was attended by representatives of the European Commission, the management boards of individual corridors, railway undertakings and the European Rail Freight Association (ERFA).
