ZAGREB, 4 July 2018 - The 16th meeting of European Network of Railway Regulators (ENRRB) was held in Brussels on 2 and 3 July. ENRRB is an advisory body of the European Commission in the field of rail transport services dealing with issues, procedures and practices for harmonization at the EU level.

Within the scope of the meeting, the round table was held on the latest developments in the Member States as well as changes in organizational structure since the last meeting and discussions on infrastructure access charges were discussed. The British regulatory body had a presentation regarding infrastructure audit fees, and the Austrian Regulatory Body (the Schienen control) had a presentation on fee calculation model. The German Regulatory Body (BnetzA) presented the experience with the European Court of Justice (C-482/14) concerning public funds.

The portal on railway service facilities was presented and discussion was conducted with a consortium representative, responsible for creating the portal. The most important discussion topic was technical barriers to the market entry. The representatives of the European Security Agency (ERA) and the European Commission, responsible for the topic, took part in the meeting. The IRG-Rail (Independent Regulatory Group - Rail) activity report was also presented at the meeting.
