HAKOM at the Bilateral Meeting with the Macedonian Railway Services Market Regulator

Zagreb hosted the two-day bilateral meeting of railway regulatory body of the Republic of Macedonia and the Croatian regulatory authority HAKOM.
ZAGREB, June 12, 2018 - A bilateral meeting of railway regulatory body of the Republic of Macedonia and the Croatian regulatory authority HAKOM was held in Zagreb in compliance with Article 57 of Directive 2012/34 / a unique European railway area (Recast) defining the cooperation between the regulatory bodies of the European Union. The meeting was focused on exchange of experience in reference to the regulatory practice in the field of railway services market of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Macedonia as well as the protection of rail passenger rights. Within the framework of the bilateral co-operation of the regulatory bodies of the railway, meetings were held with the representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Infrastructure Manager (HŽ Infrastruktura d.o.o.) and the Railway Safety Agency, which discussed the situation on the railway services market, the transport market, legislation and remuneration related to the rail services market.
A bilateral meeting has continued with the successful cooperation with the regulatory body of the Republic of Macedonia in the field of regulating the rail services market in accordance with the fourth railway package, which is currently in the process of implementation in the Republic of Croatia. The aim of the meeting was to exchange regulatory experiences and establish harmonized regulatory practices.
