HAKOM participated in the Plenary Meeting of IRG-Rail

HAKOM's experts participated at the plenary meeting of the Independent Network of Railway Regulatory Bodies, which was held in Turin last week.
 
ZAGREB, May 21, 2018 – Torino hosted the plenary meeting of IRG Rail Independent Regulator Group – Railways. The  representatives of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) participated in the meeting; Nikola Popović, Council Member, Željka Grgec, Head of Railway Services Department and  Kristijan Solina, Senior Railway Services Expert. At the plenary meeting, the Head and Deputy Head of Railway Services Department IRG Railways informed the members of the IRG Railways about the performed activities.
 
Within the scope of the plenary meeting the co-chairmen of the IRG Charging Working Group, Fees Subgroups for service facilities and Working Group of market surveillance the Multimodal Regulation template was presented and template on economic balance was discussed. Members of IRG Rail presented their status and progress in co-operation between regulatory bodies, interpretation and implementation of Article 56, paragraph 9 of Directive 2012/34 / EU (Recast). The Market Supervisory Working Group presented every document approved and published on the IRG website such as the Sixth Annual Report on Market Status is a Review of the Commission Implementing Regulation 2015/1100. Through the Working Group presentation the issues were processed such as follows: The topics on cooperation between Infrastructure Manager, Supervision and Status Report on Freight Rail Corridors and Co-operation with the European Railway Agency (ERA). The Subgroup of Access to Service Facilities Subgroup presented the document for description of Service Facilities and their work on the views regarding Access Service Facilities It was also voted on the topic that this subgroup becomes working group within the IRG Rail.
