ZAGREB, Jan. 26, 2018 - On Friday, January 26, in an operator’s network a new attempted abuse of the electronic communications and fraud was recorded, which was prevented as soon as possible. It refers to the fraudulent attempts leaving a missed call number in order to return a call which could eventually result in unwanted high costs (calling international or satellite numbers). In this case, the numbers are +438209090, +438101041, +355673283, +211978920, +216287072, +231330480, + 23 + 330660, +234700330, +244991635, +244991635, +252750004, +352203018, +257616759, 131277714 and calls to these numbers were blocked after the fraudulent attempt had been revealed . Unfortunately Telecommunications scams are not new and almost all operators around the world and in Croatia are encountered with various forms of fraudulent attempts. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) warns users once again to exercise caution when they receive a call or a text message from an unknown number, in particular from international numbers. Before returning a call or a text message, verify the number with your operator.
If there has been suspected abuse or fraud you may notify your operator or HAKOM.
