HAKOM at the Meeting of Radio Spectrum Management Policy Group (RSPG) in Brussels

The Discussion topic of the meeting was on the 5G technologies, the issues  regarding solution of the problem regarding  preparation of other digital dividends, communication technologies for preparation of program content and special event as well as the special activities concerning the preparation of ITU World Conference 2019.
 
ZAGREB, November 23, 2017 - On November 21 Brussels hosted the  meeting of the Radio Spectrum Policy Group (RSPG), which is active within the scope of the European Commission advising on strategic issues related to radio spectrum management in the Member States. A report has been presented in reference to the Conclusions of the Working Group on Cross-Border Frequency Harmonization concerning the harmful interferences (issues regarding the interferences  from Italy in TV and FM range) and preparatory works for the implementation of digital dividend for broadband mobile communications networks and frequency matching procedures for digital TV re-planning as a precondition of 5G. The meeting’s discussion topics were the work results of RSPG project teams, opinion on the strategy of introducing 5G technology in mobile communications networks as prepared, with the special emphasis on targeted changes in vertical industries, frequency bands and ways of issuing permits. The report was adopted on the   use of frequency for the preparation of program contents and special events with special reference to the frequency requirements for radio microphones and wireless cameras. The work on the EU report for the World ITU Radiocommunication Conference 2019 has been continued.
