ZAGREB, October 31, 2017 - HAKOM informs the interested public of its intention to amend the Ordinance on Optical Fibre Distribution Networks (OG 57/14, hereinafter: the Ordinance) in order to encourage the construction of optical fibre distribution networks in the Republic of Croatia.
HAKOM has recorded the insufficient interest in the construction of optical fibre distribution networks in the Republic of Croatia by monitoring the announcements for the intention of building the optical fibre distribution networks by the stakeholders in the electronic communications market. The construction of FTTH / B terminals is in accordance with the expectations. By means of the amended regulations, responsible for this area, HAKOM puts effort in creating conditions that could provide technological freedom to select different design, planning and construction possibilities of optical fibre access networks. The ultimate goal is to achieve higher investments and the consequent increase in the number of connectors enabling the speeds over 100 Mbit / s.
In order to encourage investments in the construction of optical fibre access networks, HAKOM invites the interested public to participate in the public consultation. The
