HAKOM's Experts at the 6th ADCO RED Group Meeting organized by the European Commission

The most important topic of the meeting which was  held  in Cyprus was the ICSMS testing campaign, the harmonization of the next joint market surveillance campaign, further alignment with the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and various non-conforming equipment solutions in the market use.

 
ZAGREB, October 23, 2017 – Following the invitation of the organizer the European Commission, Limassol, Cyprus hosted the 6th plenary meeting of ADCO RED (Administrative Cooperation Radio Equipment Directive) in the period from 23-26 October. ADCO RED is an informal group responsible for cooperation between market surveillance bodies for the equipment within the scope of the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53 / EU (RED).
 
The topic of the meeting was a unique approach to product monitoring, the usage of ICSMS tools and products that should be the subject of a future joint market surveillance campaign. Various views were discussed with regard to the interpretation of the Radio Equipment Directive on mobile network repeaters, test equipment, credit cards. In addition, the discussion was initiated regarding various non-conforming products and 5GHz WLAN disturbances. Furthermore, the issues regarding standardization, measurement norm uncertainty, better coordination in adoption of norms and the existing situation about the quantity of currently published harmonized norms. The representatives of other working groups such as ADCO EMC, ECC / ECO, REDCA Group and others presented their reports.

The participants of this meeting were the renowned experts in the field of electronic communications and official representatives of the EU Member States. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries was represented by experts at HAKOM Tomislav Bartolec and Mario Perković-Tabak.
