ZAGREB, 21 September 2017 - The 48th meeting of the WG FM PT22 working group was held in Jurmala, Latvia, organized by the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations and the (ECC) Electronic Communications Committee. The working group is responsible for solving the problems of monitoring and enforcement of the radio frequency spectrum as well as for drafting the proposals for international recommendations and for developing common metering techniques and procedures for monitoring the radio frequency spectrum. An important and practical exchange of experiences and solutions related to the monitoring of the radio frequency spectrum was id very important as well as the organization of measurement campaigns and, in general, the principles of measurement and measurement equipment, as well as informing the current ITU recommendations related to the monitoring of the radio frequency spectrum.
The main topics of the meeting were the usage of equipment in the 5 GHz (RLAN) area, the impact on the work of meteorological radars functioning in that part of the radio frequency spectrum, the impact of reflection on the measuring results of FM radio station deviations, determination of calculated forces by field measurements, measuring results from HF field measuring campaigns, metering devices for RF spectrum control in Ukraine, and reports from the recent meetings in France, Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The participants of this meeting were the renowned experts in the field of electronic communications and official representatives of the EU Member States. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries) was represented by Dubravko Žagar and Anđelko Kopecki, experts at HAKOM.
