HAKOM at the Meeting of the ERGP Working Group

The meeting’s main topic referred to the quality of services, consumer protection and the situation on the EU postal services market as well as draft documents within the scope of this group.
ZAGREB, 19 September 2017 – Following the invitation of Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, RATEL, Belgrade hosted two-day meeting of the Working Group "End User Satisfaction and Monitoring of Market Outcomes", operating within the framework of European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP).
The discussion topic dealt with the draft documentation within the working group such as the two reports; Report on the quality of service, consumer protection and complaint handling–and the Report on indicators for monitoring the European postal market. These reports present the current state of affairs, analyses and trends on national postal services markets, but also on the overall European postal service market. In this manner, the effects of liberalization of the postal services market is monitored through appropriate indicators and comparison with other countries and their development over time. The reports are based on data collected from all regulatory bodies from the EU Member States and candidate countries. The purpose of the meeting is to prepare reports for the plenary session of the ERGP, scheduled for November 2017.
The participants were the representatives of regulatory bodies from the EU Member States and candidates for the EU membership, experts in the field of postal services. HAKOM’s experts Ana Šubat Perković and Stjepan Paler actively participated at the meeting.
