HAKOM at the Meeting of the Radio Frequency Spectrum Committee (RSC)

The Radio Frequency Spectrum Committee, among other things, helps the European Commission in the development of implementing decisions related to frequency spectrum management in the EU Member States.
ZAGREB, July 13, 2017 - The Radio Spectrum Committee – RSC of the European Commission (EC) held the meeting in Brussels from 12 to 13 July. The working group, responsible for managing the radio frequency spectrum, helps the European Commission in the development of implementing decisions related to frequency spectrum management in the EU Member States.
The most important topics discussed at the 60th RSC meeting was the preparation of the harmonized technical conditions for the usage of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands within the 5th generation of mobile communications networks, amendments to the European Commission Decision on Short-Distance Radars for Application in the 24 GHz transport systems, amendment of the European Commission Decision on harmonization of the use of broadband devices in the EU, harmonization of technical features of short-range devices in the EU, the harmonization of 870-876MHz and 915-921 MHz bandwidth between railway applications, military systems and short-range devices.
Mr. Željko Tabaković, Assistant Director at HAKOM participated at the meeting of the Radio Frequency Spectrum Committee as a representative of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM).
