HAKOM at the Meeting of BEREC Next Generation Network

The working group deals with the topics related to the development of the new generation network and the challenges arising from it.
ZAGREB, 21 April 2017 –Following the invitation of the organizer Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications BEREC, Brussels hosted the meeting of Next Generation Networks Expert Working Group. This working group deals with topics related to the development of the new generation networks and the challenges arising from it. Since it referred to the meeting of entire NGN the current issues were discussed at the meeting. The first topic of the meeting was related to the final consultations on the report "The Practice of IP Interconnection in the context of network neutrality", due to the fact that the report should be adopted at the next plenary session of BEREC. The second topic of the meeting was related to the implementation of Directive on measures to reduce the cost of deploying high-speed electronic communications networks. While the third topic of the meeting was related to new forms of passive optical networks based on wavelength multiplexing.
The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries was represented by Lidija Antonić the Legal Affairs Officer at HAKOM and Tomislav Lovrić, Senior Market AnalysisExpert.
