HAKOM's Experts at the Public Forum „Telecommunications and Consumers“

The Public Forum was held in the municipality of Gornji Mihaljevec and HAKOM’s experts informed the participants about rights and obligations of the end-users as well as the operators’ obligations of electronic communications services.
ZAGREB, 25 November 2016 – In the municipality of Gornji Mihaljevec, the Public Forum was held on the topic “Telecommunications and Consumers”. The role of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), as a regulatory body responsible for the electronic communications market, was represented by HAKOM’s experts Marina Ljubić Karanović and Andro Marčev.
HAKOM's experts informed the participants about the users' rights and obligations of operators of the electronic communications services, such as those regarding the conclusion and termination of subscribers’ contracts, possibilities of controlling consumption, and the protection of the unwanted billings. The emphasis was put on the issues related to the signal coverage and the protection of unwanted billings in border areas.
Within the scope of its regular activities, HAKOM's experts usually hold workshops on the protection of end-users’ rights in the electronic communications. On Thursday, November 24, the workshop was held in the municipality of Selnica.
