HAKOM at the fourth meeting of the South European Digital Dividend Implementation Forum

The outcome of Forum’s work will contribute to the process of international coordination of frequencies necessary for the switchover to DVB-T2 and for the freeing of the spectrum of the second digital dividend for services in mobile communications networks.
Zagreb, 23 November 2016 – The fourth meeting of the South European Digital Dividend Implementation Forum (SEDDIF) is taking place in Budapest at the premises of the Hungarian regulatory authority for media and electronic communications (NMHH – National Media and Infocommunications Authority – Hungary). The forum is attended by representatives of regulatory authorities from Albania, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia and Turkey, and the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) is represented by Ms. Ivančica Sakal, head of the Radiocommunications Department and Mr. Krešimir Šakić, a senior broadcasting expert.
SEDDIF has been established with view to coordinating the frequencies of the remaining part of the spectrum for broadcasting at the regional level and to free the spectrum of the second digital dividend for services in mobile communications networks. The outcome of the Forum’s work will contribute to the process of international coordination of frequencies necessary for the switchover to DVB-T2 and the freeing of the spectrum of the second digital dividend for services in mobile communications networks pursuant to decisions adopted by the European Union and the European Electronic Communications Committee.
