HAKOM's Expert Ana Katalinić Mucalo elected as Vice-President of the IEEE Croatia Section

Ms. Ana Katalinić Mucalo PhD, will serve as Vice-President of the Croatian IEEE Section for the next two years as it was almost unanimously decided by the voting members, who have been in search for new leadership since September 15.

 
ZAGREB, September 20, 2016 – Ms. Ana Katalinić Mucalo, expert in the  Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) will hold the position of Vice President of the Croatian IEEE Section  in the period from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2018. She was almost unanimously decided by the voting member who have been in search for new leadership since September 15.
 
A non-profit professional association (IEEE-Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.) is the world's largest professional association. It was founded in 1884 when scientists gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884, with the aim to monitor the development of electrical engineering. Through its members, the IEEE has become a leading authority in a wide technical field of computer science, biomedical technology and telecommunications, electricity, consumer electronics and many other areas.
 
IEEE tends to promote, organize and assist technical activities worldwide. Its main objective is to improve and foster the theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of electrical engineering and computer science. IEEE is a sponsor of professional and scientific meetings and activities in many countries around the world aimed at the progress of electrical engineering and computer science.
 
Previously, Ana Katalinić Mucalo, PhD served as Secretary of the Association for two terms and she was also appointed as IEEE Region 8 Committee Member and the Region 8 Professional Activities Coordinator which covers Europe, Middle East and Africa. Remuneration Committee of the Croatian IEE Section rewarded her in 2012 for successful management of IEEE Croatia Section GOLD group.
