BEREC’s “Stakeholder Forum” will be held on 17 October

The Forum is envisaged as an interactive platform for the exchange of opinions between BEREC and stakeholders on the electronic communications market.This year’s forum will focus on an overview of the EU regulatory framework on telecommunications, telecommunications connectivity and digital environment.
ZAGREB, 16 September 2016 – The Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications will organize on 17 October in Brussels the fourth “Stakeholder Forum” which is envisaged as an event where, for the fourth year in a row, it will present its planned activities and cover important topics for market stakeholders and for future development of the electronic communications market. This year’s forum will focus on an overview of the EU regulatory framework on telecommunications, telecommunications connectivity and digital environment. It will also include a presentation of BEREC’s work plan for 2017 and a public consultation on that plan. The European Commission Commissioner for digital economy, Günther Oettinger, will speak at the Forum in addition to several representatives of European telecommunications operators.
˝Stakeholder Forum˝ u was organized by BEREC for the first time in 2013 and it was envisaged as an interactive platform for the exchange of opinions between BEREC and stakeholders on the electronic communications market. The platform supports the traditional consultation process held before the adoption of BEREC’s documents / decisions. The Forum focuses on key issues related to mid-term and long-term plans and challenges on the electronic communications market in Europe, and on consumer protection.
