HAKOM at Dubrovnik Forum 2016

On the second day of the Dubrovnik Forum HAKOM participated in panel discussions entitled "Strengthening Europe: connecting North and South" („Strengthening Europe: Connecting North and South")
 
Dubrovnik, August 26 –, Under the auspices of the Croatian President, Mrs. Kolinda Grabar Kitarović,  following the invitation of the organizers, the Croatian Chamber of Economy (CCE), Mr. Dražen Lučić, President of the Council of HAKOM participated within a panel discussion  entitled "Getting Together for Business Opportunities",  held on the second day of the Dubrovnik Forum. Among other things Dubrovnik Forum brought together the leaders of the EU Member States spanning across the area between the three European seas, the Adriatic Sea, the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea - Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, providing an excellent opportunity to enhance economic relations and cooperation between these countries.

CCC has recognized this initiative and the Forum as an excellent opportunity to bring together the business community representatives in these countries, thus promoting mutual cooperation along the Adriatic - Baltic - Black Sea corridor.

The ideas on future cooperation and perspectives of economic relations on the Baltik- Jadran.- Black Sea Initiative were exchanged during a panel discussion with a focus on project realization  in the field of energetics and infrastructure, digitization and the dual system of education considering the  entrepreneurial learning as a key to increasing the competitiveness of companies in the region on the international market. During the Forum the participants agreed on a common platform for the cooperation between the Member States at specific economic fields of common interest. The topics of special interest to HAKOM were the Baltic – Adriatic Rail corridor as well as digital transformation and strengthening the role of the Republic of Croatia within the EU digital single market, in particular in Electronic communications markets and the postal services.
