HAKOM at a meeting of a working group of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP)

The working group will focus on the future development of the postal services market and its influence on market access and competition in the light of the recent case law concerning the discount regime in the postal services sector.
ZAGREB, 15 April 2016 – The first meeting of a reactivated working group on End-to-End Competition and Access Regulation of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) took place in Bonn. The working group will focus on the future development of the postal services market and its influence on market access and competition in the light of the recent case law concerning the discount regime in the postal services sector. The analysis of results will focus in particular on prices, discrimination, that is, unfair treatment and quality, and on everything else under its competence for network access regulation and end-to-end competition.
Since this was the first meeting of the working group, the main topics concerned organization, objectives and scope of its report, including future activities of the group. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented at the meeting by Ms. Katica Knežević, a senior expert for postal services and Ana Šubat Perković, a legal affairs expert.
