HAKOM at the conference entitled Digital Economy: Chances and Challenges

At the Prague Conference, Mr. Dražen Lučić, President of the Council of HAKOM, gave a presentation on “˝EU Roaming Regulation and National Interest˝” and participated in the round table composed of heads of regulatory authorities of Albania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
ZAGREB, 18 March 2016 – The Czech regulatory authority ČTU (Český telekomunikační úřad) and ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) organized in Prague a two-day conference on ˝Digital Economy: Chances and Challenges˝. The conference, which was organized with a view to promoting a discussion on the development of the digital economy in the Visegrad Group countries and attended by more than 200 participants, was also attended by the President of the Council of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), Mr. Dražen Lučić, who gave a presentation on the topic of ˝EU Roaming Regulation and National Interest˝.
On behalf of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries Mr. Dražen Lučić participated in the round table that took place before the conference and that was composed of heads of regulatory authorities of Albania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia and by heads of leading Czech operators. The round table discussed amendments of the regulatory framework for electronic communications (˝Future of Framework for Electronic Communications˝).
Another purpose of this meeting was to agree on further cooperation with Czech and other regulatory authorities, particularly those from the Visegrad Group countries.
