Ordinance on Single European Emergency Number 112 comes into force on January 1

Ordinance on Single European Emergency Number 112 prescribes the manner and conditions of use of the single European emergency call number 112 and e-call.
ZAGREB. December 30, 2015 - After the consultations with the interested public, the Ordinance on Single European Emergency Number 112 was passed and published in the Official Gazette No. 138/15 and shall enter into force on January 1, 2016. The Ordinance was passed by Ministry of the Sea Transport and Infrastructure as the competent authority and the experts from HAKOM participated in document drafting.
Ordinance on the Single European Emergency Number 112 regulates the manner and conditions of use of the single European emergency call number 112 and e-call, the technical and other requirements for the operators of public communications networks and publicly available telephone services in fulfilling their obligations towards the central body responsible for receiving the emergency calls in accordance with a special law, furthermore the manner, form and deadline for data delivery of the calls to 112 number, the quality criterion of call services to112 number and e-call and the manner and implementation conditions of the temporary and permanent exclusion from the electronic communications network of subscriber’s or user’s terminal equipment in the case of abuse of calls to112 number.
