HAKOM at a Joint Workshop of BEREC and EMERG

During a two-day workshop the experiences were exchanged and the Croatian model of organization was presented as well as the governing body structure of the regulator, responsible for the Electronic communications market.
ZAGREB, December 18, 2015 - At the joint workshop, held on December 17 and 18 in Brussels, the regulators of the Mediterranean countries, the Euro-Mediterranean Regulators Group - EMERG and the Body of European Regulators for the Electronic Communications- BEREC exchanged their experiences related to the regulator’s decision-making mechanisms, its accountability and transparency. The representative of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), Mr. Domagoj Maričić, Head of Legal Affairs Department presented the Croatian model of organization, the decision-making model, the accountability and transparency of the regulator responsible for the Electronic communications.
The participants of the workshop agreed that the European regulatory authority for electronic communications (BEREC) and the European Commission should continue to work on providing the technical advice and support to the Mediterranean countries, not being the EU Member States, regarding the implementation of the comparable electronic communications regulatory framework in order to facilitate business operations to the operators and to provide end-users with best possible services.
