HAKOM Held Two Thematic Workshops on the Initiation and Implementation of the Projects in order to Increase the Accessibility of Broadband Infrastructure

Workshops on " Providing Support to the Local and Regional Self- governing units in Project Initiation and Implementation in order to Increase the Accessibility of Broadband Infrastructure with the help of state aid “ were held last week for the principals of the counties, cities and municipalities of Varaždin and Međimurje County.
ZAGREB, October 23, 2015 - Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) continues with the workshops on “Providing Support to the Local and Regional Self-governing units in Project Initiation and Implementation in order to Increase the Accessibility of Broadband Infrastructure with the Help of State Aid”. This workshop is intended for the principals of the counties, cities and municipalities and principals of the offices and departments that cover the area of broadband Internet access. The information related to the broadband infrastructure, the National Programme for the Development of Broadband and the challenges of local self-governing units for the successful implementation of the projects of Electronic Communications Infrastructure with the use of EU funds were represented by HAKOM's experts Josip Šajnović,. Mladen Sikirica, Mislav Hebel, Vladimir Žuti.
The first week's workshop, in cooperation with the Directorate of EU funds at Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure was held on Monday in Varaždin and it was intended for the principals of Varaždin County, local municipalities and cities. In addition to it HAKOM's experts held a workshop in Čakovec for the principals of the counties, cities and municipalities of Međimurje County last Friday October 23.
