Continuation of a Positive Trend on the Postal Services Market
PRESS RELEASE
I
n the first quarter of 2015 the number of postal packages increased in comparison to the same period last year
ZAGREB, 2 June 2015 – A positive growth trend which has been present on the postal services market for the last several quarters continues into the first quarter of 2015. In comparison to the same period in 2014 the number of packages has increased for about 13% indicating that the market liberalization had positive impact on the package services market development along with other services encouraged by the E-shop growth. The same is proved by the fact that the number of packages in 2014 compared to the same in 2013 has increased for 14 %. All that together with the forecasted slight recovery of the economy encourages optimism as the on-going positive trend on the postal services market may continue in the upcoming period.
The number of postal services providers has not been changed, so at the end of the first quarter there were 21 providers in total, and the biggest among them is still HP Hrvatska Pošta with a 72% market share.
