“The second forum on the future of the UHF band (second digital dividend and digital terrestrial television) will be held on Monday, 23 February 2015, at the Antunović Hotel in Zagreb".
ZAGREB, 23 January 2015 – “The second forum on the future of the UHF band (second digital dividend and digital terrestrial television) is organized by the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries within the framework of activities concerning the preparation for DVB-T2 switchover and the allocation of the second digital dividend.
The forum will gather representatives of participants in the electronic communications and media market, state administration bodies and the business sector who will discuss the regulatory framework and economic aspects of future use of the UHF frequency band, prospects and possibilities for television market development, benefits of awarding the second digital dividend for the development of mobile communications and other services in the 470 – 790 MHz band.
As opposed to the first forum on the future of the UHF band which focused on the second digital dividend and the development of digital terrestrial television in general, the objective of this forum is to encourage discussion on costs of switchover of digital terrestrial television to DVB-T2 standard and the expected investments into the second digital dividend.
