HAKOM at 1st IRG capacity building workshop on NGA/NGNs

NEWS

HAKOM is taking part in the first capacity building workshop on new generation networks (NGA and NGN), which is held from 14 to 17 April in Switzerland (Frauenfeld, Warth).

ZAGREB, 14 April 2014 – At the invitation by the Slovenian and Swiss regulators, a HAKOM’s representative will present HAKOM’s experience in NGA regulation at the first IRG capacity building workshop on new generation networks (NGA/NGNs). The workshop is held from 14 to 17 April in Fruenfeld, Switzerland. Since the future NGA regulatory activities require a better understanding of the technical and economic characteristics of NGA networks, the objective of the workshop is to transfer knowledge among the Independent Regulators Group (IRG) members through lectures and panel discussions, concerning NGA architecture/topologies, NGA costs/investment models and competition issues.

The workshop is divided in four sessions: NGA and NGN architecture – theory and practical case, NGA technologies and economics of roll-out, NGA regulation, economics and cost modelling and Current NGA issues and country cases. HAKOM will present its experience in NGA  regulation in Croatia in the fourth session.
