Four bids in latest public tender round for aid award

Four companies submitted their bids in the latest round of the public tender for the award of aid under HAKOM’s Programme for the development of the Internet and broadband in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and on islands.
ZAGREB, 17 February 2014 – Four bids were received in the fourth round of the public tender for the award of state aid for a fast development of broadband networks in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and on islands. The bids were submitted by Hrvatski Telekom d.d. Zagreb, VIPnet d.o.o. Zagreb, Pro-ping d.o.o. Pitomača and Optika kabel d.o.o. Zaprešić. In a further analysis of the submitted offers, HAKOM will establish the meeting of conditions from the tender documentation and adopt the decision on the award of aid no later than by 5 March 2014.
It is worth reminding that aid is part of HAKOM’s Programme for the development of the Internet and broadband in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and on islands, which foresees aid for a series of values which make up the broadband eco-system: fast network, development of services and applications and accompanying telecommunication equipment. By this latest tender for the award of aid, the target users in the County of Slavonski Brod – Posavina will be connected. This is the only remaining county without the aid programme, with a total of 14 target users, currently without broadband access.
