HAKOM announces penultimate tender for development of applications in 2013

HAKOM has announced the fifth public tender for the development of socially beneficial applications in the current year. The implementation of the remaining tenders will continue until the end of this year and in 2014.
 
ZAGREB, 11 December 2013 – HAKOM announced the fifth public tender today for the development of socially beneficial applications in the current year. The development of applications is part of the Programme for the development of the Internet and broadband in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and islands. Their implementation aims at providing incentives to the development of the broadband eco-system in rural areas. It is worth mentioning that the Internet applications will be made available to all interested citizens, irrespective of the area in which they live.
 
The fifth cycle of implementation of the collected ideas for useful applications is also the pen-ultimate one in the current year. In 2014, HAKOM intends to continue with its programme through the implementation of the remaining ideas selected after the public calls.
 
The competition is published for the development of the following two applications:
 
Web marketing for persons with a disability – the application designed with the aim to set up free advertising space for persons with a disability, primarily coming from the area of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and islands, to facilitate the placement of their products and services. The application is also intended to enable even higher inclusion of persons with a disability in the information society and, in this way, provide incentives for self-employment.
 
Teacher training at schools – the application is designed for the organisation of training of teachers at schools and institutions, in terms of the transfer of knowledge in the basics of information and digital literacy.
 
The competition is open to any interested legal or physical persons, and the deadline for the submission of offers is 8 January 2014.
