At the Conference on communication technologies and standards in informatics KOM 2013, held in Zagreb from 25 to 26 November, HAKOM’s experts Emil Jurić and Josip Šajnović presented the “Electronic communications market overview” and “Regulation of fibre access networks”. HAKOM also took part in panels on electronic communications, standardisation and fibre networks.
ZAGREB, 27 November 2013 – KOM 2013 Conference, a gathering on electronic technologies and standards in informatics, was held in Zagreb on 25 and 26 November. Conference topics were: Networks and network technologies – different types of broadband access networks were discussed as well as their operation; Communication and Internet services – broadband services were presented in lectures, starting from the Full service broadband concept to specific services such as the future 3D TV; and Safety and protection on the network – problems of safe use of modern communication technologies, monitoring and development of threats, resolution of computer-safety incidents, collection and distribution of safety advice, recommendations and tools, and how to practically improve the security of computer systems and networks, were elaborated in detail through lectures and presentations.
