ZAGREB, September 11, 2019 - The third call for WiFi4EU voucher initiative  has been announced for September 19, 2019 at 1 p.m. In this call, EUR 26.7 million will be granted and this amount will be distributed to 1,780 vouchers to European cities and municipalities, using the priority of the application. A minimum of 15 vouchers is provided for each country and a maximum of 142 can be won.

The call will be open until 5pm on September 20, 2019, and may apply to cities and municipalities that did not win vouchers in the first two rounds.

In order to be able to apply for the EUR 15,000 voucher, municipalities need to register on the WIFi4EU Portal before the call. The voucher will allow the winning municipality to set up free Wi-Fi networks in public spaces.

The first WiFi4EU call, which took place in November 2018, was extremely successful.

Over 13,000 municipalities from all over Europe applied and 2,800 vouchers were awarded. This was followed up by a second call in April 2019, which saw more than 10,000 applications for 3,400 vouchers. 98% of these vouchers were claimed within the first 60 seconds of the call launch,

It is worth mentioning that with 366 awarded vouchers, or almost € 5.5 million in the first two calls, Croatia is at the very top of the EU. We wish a lot of success to other Croatian cities and municipalities!
