ZAGREB, May 7, 2019 – The third volunteer conference has been held in the business premises of Forum Congress Centre in Zagreb, this week, This year's conference is entitled "The Waves of Volunteering", organized by the Volunteer Centre Zagreb, the Croatian Volunteer Development Centre and the Corporate Volunteering Network. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) joined the initiative of corporate volunteering, together with the representatives of more than 20 other organizations, the Volunteer Charter was signed by the Executive Director of Miran Gosta on behalf of HAKOM.
The initiative is aimed at further encouraging the implementation of a more systematic approach to volunteering and encouraging companies and organizations in the public and private sector that have volunteering activities and the Corporate Volunteering Network recently launched volunteering activities for further activities as well as to encourage new volunteering activities. The charter promotes this activity to other stakeholders with whom these organizations operate, and for the self-organizations, representing a more systematic approach to volunteering through the definition of voluntary rules, the creation of a favourable volunteering environment and the adoption of volunteering standards.
