Launching the Portal "All for our Consumers"

The first Croatian Central Consumer Portal is the result of Cooperation of all Bodies involved in consumer protection, in order to accomplish their Rights more easily

Today, the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Craft has officially launched the "All for our Consumers", the first Croatian consumer portal that will help citizens to realize their consumer rights. The Portal has been established to bring together all  necessary information from variety of expert areas related to the problems with defective goods and warranties, public services, financial and media literacy, online shopping, electronic communications, dangerous products, food safety to modern technology.
 
Zagreb, April 30, 2019 - At the presentation of the portal, the Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Mr. Darko Horvat addressed to all visitors, stressing out that the protection of consumer rights exceeds the frames of our everyday life. Our path to achieving this goal is based on co-operation and teamwork. For this reason, we have gathered all the stakeholders in this area and this is a direct consequence and a concrete result of such broad cooperation. "This area is much more complex and multidisciplinary today, as evidenced by the number of different ministries, agencies and institutions. Each of them is evidence in the protection of consumers' rights. Therefore, this portal is another big step forward, "the minister concluded.

In addition to the  Croatian Minister of Economy Darko Horvat the ceremony was attended by Darinko Kosor, President of Croatian Chamber of Economy,  Nataša Mikuš Žigman, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, , Tugomir Majdak State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ante Žigman, President of HANFA Executive Board, Tonko Obuljen, President of the Council of HAKOM, Ljiljana Kuterovac, Director General at State Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Croatia, Brankica Novosel,  Director of the State Office  for Metrology, Tihomir Babić,  Director of the Croatian Accreditation Agency, Igor Božičević,  Director of the Croatian Institute for Standards Assista  as well as the assistants to the Minister of Economy Entrepreneurship and Craft  , Ivana Soić, Ana Mandac and Damir Juzbašić , Assistant Minister of Agriculture Krunoslav Karalic and many others
A common and coordinated approach is a good way  to  reach the goal more easily.

The President of the Council of HAKOM, Tonko Obuljen emphasized that this portal is the result of cooperation of all bodies involved in consumer protection and also a signpost for the realization of future projects in this area. "This is proof that a common and coordinated approach, with openness to the public, can achieve much greater effect than individual efforts," Obuljen concluded. "In this project The Ministry of Agriculture is an extremely important partner, especially in the food production part. Our system that ensures the safety, correctness and quality of food plays an extremely important role, "said State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Majdak. "HANFA, as the institution responsible for overseeing financial services, deals with a very broad spectrum that has to cover, from pension funds, insurance companies, to investment funds.There are a number of financial institutions, and consumers are often in a situation where they are not happy with some of the services, "said Mr. Žigman President of the Board of HANFA.  
 
Ms. Soić, Assistant to the Minister, responsible for the area of ​​consumer protection policy, presented the portal "All for our Consumers" and explained all relevant information. "Consumer protection is an inter-departmental and very complex area and as such covered by many institutions. The citizens often ask about jurisdiction of specific institutions regarding specific problem with the question. In order to solve the problem we have invited all relevant institutions to join us in an effort to help this portal and provide citizens with information. Altogether we have tried to explain the citizens their possibilities with specific problem, "said Soić.
