HAKOM: More Investments in the Mobile Networks

At the end of 2018, the number of broadband Internet access connections in the fixed network was more than 1,120 million, an increase of around 2.5% compared to 2017.
 
ZAGREB, March 6, 2019 - In the market of electronic communications in Croatia in 2018, the operators continued to invest in mobile networks, and investments were nearly 13 percent higher than ,year before.The last year decrease in radiofrequency spectrum charges, payed by the operators  in the national budget each year, went down to investing in access radiofrequency networks and increasing the number of base stations.
 
Due to the lack of seasonal effect, in the fourth quarter of 2018, the fourth quarter of 2018 marked a decline in revenue and mobile users, both from telephone and Internet services. Despite the expected decline in the quarterly level, the annual growth has been recorded.At the end of 2018 the number of broadband Internet access connections in the fixed network was more than 1,120 million, recording an increase of around 2.5% compared to 2017. There was also an increase in the number of broadband connections on an annual basis, which is about 29 % of total number of broadband connections in the fixed network.
 
The distribution market of the TV programme with the payment of fees recorded a growth of about 4% compared to the previous year with over 820,000 users.
