The Tenders received in the RFS Public Auction Procedure

The final decision on granting the license will follow after the analysis and review of tender documentation, expected in the first half of February.

                           
ZAGREB, January 21, 2019 - The tenders in the public auction procedure for the three remaining frequency bands in the frequency band 1920-1980 / 2110-2170 MHz for mobile telecommunications networks have been submitted. The subject to the public auction procedure is the three frequency bands of 2x5 MHz in the 1965 - 1980/2155 - 2170 MHz frequency band covering the Republic of Croatia for THE period up to December 22, 2024, as follows:

A. 1965-1970 / 2155-2160 MHz (2x5 MHz),
B. 1970-1975 / 2160-2165 MHz (2x5 MHz),
C. 1975-1980 / 2165-2170 MHz (2x5 MHz).

All three blocks have been offered in order to provide communication services based on  technological neutrality, allowing the operators to have three choices for the usage of existing mobile communication technologies (from GSM to LTE).

In the RF spectrum public auction procedure, the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) opened the received tenders in reference to the radiofrequency spectrum which is a total of, currently not allocated 30 MHZ,

According to the auction documentation during the RF spectrum allocation the best tenderer for each frequency block is chosen whereby the total quantity limitation of allocated spectrum is applied to an operator and the affiliated companies reaching 140 MHz after the allocation of the RF spectrum.

HAKOM's final decision on granting the license will follow after the analysis and review of the tender documentation, expected in the first half of February. In case of allocation of three blocks, the amounts from selected tenders should be paid into the state budget by the end of this year.
