Within the Scope of MIPRO, HAKOM organizes round table on "Introduction of 5G networks in Croatia"NEWSThe Round Table will be held on May 22, 2018 in Opatija within the 41st International Conference on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics, MIPRO 2018.
ZAGREB, May 16, 2018 – For several years the Croatian Regulatory Authority on Network Industries (HAKOM) has been organizing roundtables with current topics related to new technologies within the scope of MIPRO, the International Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics. Within the scope of this year’s MIPRO, on May 22, 2018, Opatija will host a roundtable on "Introduction of 5G Networks in the Republic of Croatia". One of the technologically most prevalent topics is currently the 5G, that is, the new generation of mobile communications networks which is rapidly developing. The Republic of Croatia 5G will not only be a continuation of existing technologies, but it will represent a new platform that will bring advanced broadband access, massive intelligent machine-to-machine communication without human control and highly reliable communications with latency. It is expected that 5G will transform the way of communication and enable new comprehensive applications and business models. With the cooperation of all interested parties (operators, manufacturers, local community) 5G will create preconditions for further economic development and well-being for society as a whole. HAKOM organizes a round table just to encourage this collaboration and bring the 5G closer to the local community.
