HAKOM at the Professional Workshop of the BCO Network

Following the invitation of the organizer Brussels hosted the Broadband Competence Offices Support Facility (BCO-SF), where knowledge and share of experience was acquired in the process of awarding state aid in the field of fast electronic communications networks.
ZAGREB, April 25, 2018 - A network of BCO (Broadband Competence Offices) network is held in Brussels on April 24 and 25. The workshop is aimed at acquiring and exchanging knowledge regarding the procedures for granting the state aid in the field of construction of fast electronic communications networks. Discussed topics included an overview of rural areas, an overview of expectations of users in rural area regarding the availability of broadband services, the impact of broadband access and IT innovation on economic growth in rural areas. In addition, it was discussed on overview of the current level of services provided by the BCO network in the EU area and the possibility of extending the scope of these services to all stakeholders through professional training and technical assistance.
The representatives of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) who took part in the meeting were the experts Tihana Cerovac and Josipa Đerek.
