HAKOM’s executive director Mario Weber participated in a panel discussion on "How To Raise Protection Consumer Information in the Republic of Croatia?" HAKOM's experts informed citizens about their rights as consumers
 
ZAGREB, March 15, 2018 - The closing ceremony of the Consumer Protection Week, previously celebrated in Čakovec, Slavonski Brod, Vinkovci, Pula, Zadar and Dubrovnik was held at the ceremonial hall of the Mimara Museum in Zagreb on March 15 . Introductory speeches were held by Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Martina Dalić, Vice Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts. Executive Director of  the Croatian Regulatory Authority  for Network Industries  (HAKOM)  Mario Weber  participated in a panel discussion on "How To Raise Consumer Information in the Republic of Croatia?", Whose participants are  Martina Dalić Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Tomislav Tolušić, Minister of Agriculture,  Boris Vujčić, Governor of the Croatian National Bank Branko Baričević Head of the European Commission Representative in Croatia and Ilija Rkman, Representative of Consumer Protection Associations.
 
The Consumer Protection Week was organized by the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Croatian National Bank, the Croatian Accreditation Agency, the Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency, HAKOM, the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency, the State Metrology Institute, the Croatian Standards Institute, the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency, the Coastal Maritime Traffic Agency, the Personal Data Protection Agency, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Croatian Association of Employers, the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Zagreb, the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka, the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb, the European Commission Representative in Croatia the City of Zagreb, the Croatian Association for Mediation, the Croatian Insurance Bureau, the Mediation Canter and the Consumer Protection Associations.
 
Within the scope of the programme, the contract was signed on financing the Consumer Protection Association among the representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Craft, the Ministry of Finance and the City of Zagreb. The participants visited 36 ​​informational desks  in the Museum's Atrium  Mimara, where were informed about their rights and provided with advice when having a  problem with merchants or providers of various public services.
