HAKOM celebrates World and European Money Week at the Ministry of Science and Education

This year's fourth celebration is specific because of the presentation of projects / initiatives / programs implemented within the scope of intersectoral co-operation on the promotion of financial literacy.

ZAGREB, March 6, 2018 - On Monday, the Ministry of Science and Education marked the World and European Week of Money. The aim was to   improve the level of financial literacy   enabling children, young people and citizens to acquire financial competences. This year's fourth celebration is specific because of the presentation of projects / initiatives / programs implemented within the scope of  intersectoral co-operation on the promotion of financial literacy.. Educational institutions have introduced their initiatives / activities / programs related to the promotion of financial literacy. These are projects funded by the European Social Fund within the scope of Invitation for Project Proposals "Improving literacy - a foundation for lifelong learning". Within the scope of the Invitation 21 projects has been funded in the amount from HRK 26,775,000.00.

Ms. Blaženka Divjak, the Minister of Science and Education,. Bojan Fras, Vice Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Ante Žigman President of  the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency and others. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Mario Weber, Executive Director, Ivo Majerski, Head of Information and Consumer Protection Department and Gordana Kulišić, Senior Consumer Protection  Expert.
