The meeting discussed a series of topics related to the technical aspect of management of the radio frequency spectrum, ie. ways of sharing the radio frequency spectrum between immobile, mobile and satellite services and short-range devices (SRDs).
ZAGREB, January 23, 2018 – From 22 to 26 January, Rome hosted the WGSE Meeting (Working Group Spectrum Engineering). The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Krunoslav Bejuk, WGSE’S Vice President Working Group and Senior Expert for Microwave and Satellite Networks. The meeting discussed a series of topics related to the technical aspect of management of the radio frequency spectrum, i.e. ways of sharing the radio frequency spectrum between immobile, mobile and satellite services and short-range devices (SRDs). The completion of the work on the ECC Report 270, 271 and 272 reports, which analyses the possibility of sharing the 1.6 GHz bandwidth between mobile satellite services and hearing aids, the range use of fixed-satellite navigation equipment (10.7-12.75 / 14-14.5 GHz) by One Web satellite broadband access system on a global scale and ground-breaking restrictions on aircraft and near airports.
At the meeting a public hearing was scheduled in order to submit five reports and one recommendation, such as reports on the use of the LTE system in the 410-430 and 450-470 MHz bands, the 5725-5875 MHz bandwidths in cars and the timetable for fixed service in D belt. In addition the participants discussed a number of issues from various areas related to the preparation of the World Radiocommunication Conference, such as wireless 79-90 kHz electric vehicles.
