HAKOM at the Meeting of Radio Spectrum Committee (RSC) in Brussels

The Radio Spectrum Committee in the European Commission will, inter alia, assist in the development of implementing decisions regarding radio spectrum management in the EU Member States.

 
ZAGREB, December 7, 2017 – On December 6 and 7 Brussels hosted a meeting of the Radio Spectrum Committee (RSC) of the European Commission (EC), responsible for radio spectrum management. This working group, among other things, helps the EC to develop implementing decisions regarding radio spectrum management in the EU Member States.
 
The most important topic discussed at the 62nd RSC meeting is the adoption of the EU decision on harmonized usage of the 1452-1492 MHz bandwidth to increase capacity in mobile networks, the adopted EU decision on the usage of the 800 and 1800 MHz bandwidth for the Internet stuff, harmonization of frequency band 870-876 / 915-921 MHz for short-range devices. The activities regarding testing the usage possibilities of 5925-6425 MHz bandwidth for local access communication networks, regulation of unmanned aerial vehicles and their frequency needs and the impact of innovative aerials on technical terms for broadband wireless access.
