ZAGREB, December 6, 2017 - In the third quarter of 2017, the Croatian Electronic Communications Market recorded growth in investments and revenue. At the same time, the volume of total Internet traffic, currently exceeding 280,000,000 GB, rose quarterly to 26 % and almost 48 % at the annual level.
Electronic communications market indicators can be found on HAKOM’s website at default.aspx?id=29.An extraordinary seasonal productivity, which makes this quarter different from the others, has had an impact on the growth in the number of users and traffic in mobile networks. All three operators of the mobile communications network have offered 4G network services with attractive data packages further encouraging users to spend data traffic. Due to the increased usage of broadband services in mobile networks, the number of broadband Internet access connections via mobile networks grew by 3 % over the previous period and reached a density of about 82 % at the end of the third quarter. The growth of the number of broadband connections via fixed network has also been recorded.
