ZAGREB, 28 November 2017 – The plenary meeting of the Community for intermodal transport and logistics was held on 28 November 2017 at the premises of the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) in Zagreb. Within the framework of the plenary meeting a new Rules of Procedure of the Community was proposed with amendments to the existing Rules of Procedure according to the requirements of the transport market stakeholders. The current Community leadership presented a Work Report and carried out new elections for the President and Deputy Speakers of the Community and the election of the Heads of Staff and Deputy Community Leaders in the Community. The guidelines necessary for further work of the Community and the groups were presented at the meeting such as: bus, rail and air carriers, freight carriers, logistics, shippers, ports and port administrations as well as the scientific community, economy, regulatory bodies and the ministry.
Due to the rapid advancement of technology and the development of new business organization methods which leads to ever-increasing needs for specialized and skilled workforce, new investment in basic transport equipment and IT equipment, new ways of business organization, marketing and new services, the Community should provide answers in order to facilitate the business of all participants in the process of transport and logistics.
