ZAGREB, October 19, 2017 – In the period from 18 to 20 October, Osijek hosted an international conference entitled "Smart Systems and Technologies 2017 - SST 2017" ") featuring scientific and professional papers on intelligent systems and technologies in the field of electrical engineering, electronic communications, information technology, robotics and interdisciplinary research. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Information Technology at the University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer in Osijek.
The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by a work presented at a thematic session devoted to smart transport and Internet stuff entitled "Internet of Things Context of the Smart City", written Mario Weber, Executive Director of HAKOM and Dražen Lučić, President of the Council at HAKOM, and academician Prof. dr. sc. Ignac Lovrek.
Mario Weber was one of the two leaders of this session. Dražen Lučić and Mario Weber are members of the Programming Committee of the Conference. At the ceremonial opening ceremony Mr. Dražen Lučić welcomed the participants on behalf of the company.
HAKOM has been successfully cooperating with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Information Technology (FERIT) of the University of Osijek for many years, both: by means of HAKOM’S branch office in Osijek and within the framework of the "Look into the Future 2020" programme.
