HAKOM at the International Meeting of the Regulatory Bodies and institutions from South East Europe, responsible for the Implementation of the Directive 2014/53 / EU (RED)

The objective of the meeting was the analysis of current issues related to the implementation of Directive 2014/53 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States on the radio equipment market.


ZAGREB, October 16, 2017 – Following the invitation of the organizer the Serbian Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services RATEL, Belgrade hosted international meeting of regulatory bodies and institutions from  the South East Europe, responsible for the implementation the Directive 2014/53 / EU (RED).

The objective of the meeting was the analysis of current issues related to the implementation of Directive 2014/53 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States on the radio equipment market. The discussion focused on the following topics: existing legal and institutional frameworks related to market placement and putting into service radio equipment in the countries of South East Europe, possibilities for cooperation and interpretation, clarification of the RED provisions.

The participants were the representatives of the regulatory bodies of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Greece, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries HAKOM) was represented by its experts Ivana Futač, and Anđelko Jurjević.
