Marko Čavlović, Assistant Director at HAKOM held a workshop on the digital single market and the new regulatory framework for the representatives of the Croatian Language Department at the European Commission in Brussels and Luxembourg and presented the latest legislative proposals from the Croatian perspective.
 
ZAGREB, 2 October 2017 - Assistant Director of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for NETWORK Industries (HAKOM) Marko Čavlović held the workshop on the latest legislative proposals in the area of electronic communications for the representatives of the Croatian Language Department at the European Commission in Brussels and in Luxembourg, primarily referring to the new regulatory framework and the new rules from the Croatian perspective. In addition to the insight into the key aspects of the new regulatory framework, the workshop also discussed important concepts in today's and future development of the electronic communications market such as big data (Big data), Internet stuff (IoT), network neutrality (NN) and roam like at home. (RLAH). HAKOM’s main regulatory powers and tasks were presented carried out through a socially responsible regulation.
 
This workshop helped the representatives of the Croatian Language Department at the European Commission in Brussels and Luxembourg to better understand the latest legislative initiatives as well as the the importance, role and tasks of the regulatory body aimed at better understanding of terminology in order to do translations as good as possible The workshop was attended by about 30 representatives of the Croatian Language Department working in Brussels and Luxembourg. This workshop was agreed as a continuation of cooperation after  the representative of the Croatian Language Department at the European Commission in Brussels, Ms. Anita Polić visited HAKOM at the beginning of June 2017.
