Joint Meeting of HAKOM's Council and the Representatives of all National Telecommunications Operators
PRESS RELEASE
At the meeting, a joint opinion was harmonized on the activities and measures which should be taken to improve the investment environment and the implementation of new technologies.
ZAGREB, May 11, 2017 - On Friday, May 11, a meeting was held with HAKOM's Council and representatives of all national telecommunications operators (HAKOM) on 11 May 2017. The topic referred to the common challenges in the electronic communications market as well as the measures and activities which should be taken to accelerate the electronic communications market in the Republic of Croatia.
The revenue growth of market stakeholders and record-breaking investment by telecommunications operators in 2016, is a direction toward a socially responsible market regulation that HAKOM wants to keep up with in the future, despite some of the EU regulatory decisions that do not support the market development in Croatia. In the forthcoming period HAKOM is planning to include all state institutions responsible for the specific topics of the debate which should contribute to faster realization of the objectives of Digital Agenda 2020 and the accelerated development of broadband internet access at high speeds, especially in less developed areas of the Republic of Croatia.
